So, my last day (hopefully!) as a techie will be at the end of August. Then we are going to give the full time wedding photography business a solid try.
With much help from a bunch of people, our new web site is just about finished: http://www.wtallenphotography.com if you have a few minutes to check it out, we are always open to feedback.
And if you, or anyone you know, is getting married, or wants some non-studio couple, kids, pets or family type shots, drop us a line. Climbers get teh discount!
As always, I would have never made it where I am without a whole lot of help and support. Big thanks to Chester and Mike B. for all the help getting started. To all of you for the feedback on the stuff I posted, and for letting me take photos of you all. And of course, my wife, for all the support and for being my partner in this, along with everything else in life.

Congratulation...it is so exiting to have your own business!!! The website is beautiful!!! I love it. I know you live in Lexington (I think) but no where on the website says the area you are willing to travel or the area you would like to be working...did I miss that some where?

Thanks much! I will update the site with some better info on that today!tutugirl wrote:I know you live in Lexington (I think) but no where on the website says the area you are willing to travel or the area you would like to be working...did I miss that some where?
If you are getting married in Cinci or around there, check out Steph Carson first, http://www.stephaniecarson.com and also Mike B http://www.mikebresnen.com, and if they are booked, or not in the right price range, we would be super psyched to drive up!

Wes,
The site looks great! Works in IE, but it isn't rendering images in Firefox. Its tough to debug Flash, but I did find out that Firefox thinks the images reside in paths like:
http://www.wtallenphotography.com/undef ... wed001.jpg
But it appears that the path is more like:
http://www.wtallenphotography.com/v1sit ... wed001.jpg
Hope that helps you find an easy fix. If not, PM me and I'll help you dig a bit further.
Good luck as a full-time business owner. It can be extremely fulfilling.

It worked just fine earlier when I used Firefox (several days ago?).
Is there a significant difference in Firefox for Apples vs Firefox for PCs?

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

It is actually the AdBlock Plus plugin (which really rocks) that is causing the issue. With AdBlock disabled, I get all the images correctly. Then I can use Live HTTP Headers to find to see that your Flash applet is addressing things like this:
http://www.wtallenphotography.com//v1si ... wed023.jpg
Note the double slash. Apparently Adbock was rewriting the requests like:
http://www.wtallenphotography.com/undef ... wed023.jpg
That is where everything breaks down. If you look at your webserver stats, you'll see 404 errors for those type of URLs (with the /undefined/).
Anyway, most browsers are smart enough to work through the double slash, but I'd see if it is an easy fix just for good measure.
