search feature

Post by Josephine »

i was wondering if there's any way to narrow the search feature so that if i'm searching for a term and it brings up a thread with 20 pages, i don't have to click on each individual page to find where the term is.

also, can we make it so if you search for two words in quotes it brings up only results that have the words in question in the exact order that they were entered?

i don't know anything about coding so maybe that's a difficult request to accomidate - but i thought i'd ask :D

use the advanced features in google. You don't need the search feature in here, google or another similar search engine is the way to go. for example try:

red river climbing trad inequality caribe
this is a current thread and google finds it.

Today I noticed a cool quick search box in some of the forum views. It is nice!

I'm trying to stay away from mods with this version of phpbb. I found that with this code (phpbb) it's either you choose to be secure or choose to customize. If you try to do both then you end up spending hours trying to get the mods working again after each upgrade of the phpbb code.

I personally don't really like using google to search sites but if you're going to I suggest using the "site:" feature:

site:redriverclimbing.com whatever you want to search
