re-using slackline tubing

Post by DHB »

I think I read somewhere that you're never supposed to use tubular webbing for runners, slings, etc. after you have slacklined with it. I can see the obvious reason why, but I was just wondering if it's possible to use sections if the webbing itself has only been slacklined on a few times.

I know people are going to say, "hey, that shit's only 34 cents a foot. just go buy some more and don't risk your life." and I know, but I need some slings more than I need the last few feet of my 50 ft line. And everyone knows that the last few feet just sit on the ground once it's pulled tight.

What are the typical forces put on a slackline anyway?

The theory of evolution is just as stupid as the theories of gravity and electromagnetism.

If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.
