I have been experiencing that new posts are not showing up if I have been gone awhile. I will go to another website then back again, and nothing new shows BUT in fact people have posted in the meantime. What up?

Sometimes when I log onto this site, the little folders do not turn colors, indicating that new posts have taken place.

that happens to me if i am not logged in. i think the BB uses the last session as a tool to figure out when you last read messages. so make sure you are logged in. if you are and still have that problem then ray has gota bug on his hands.

I'm having the opposite problem. The new posts were indicated by a colored post even after I'd already read everything.

this could be happening becuase you are hitting back instead of clicking on the links or using he jump to function. watch the patterns of your behavior and see if that is it.

Yup, that was the problem. My mouse has a "back" button down by the thumb.

Gretchen, I think I figured this one out. When you manually log off, all posts are marked as read.
