He wasn't even in office when they were built, but definitely his fault.
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

Rather beside the point. If you read the article, you'll find this:

"As a state senator, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee coauthored an Illinois law creating a new pool of tax credits for developers. As a US senator, he pressed for increased federal subsidies. And as a presidential candidate, he has campaigned on a promise to create an Affordable Housing Trust Fund that could give developers an estimated $500 million a year."

Obama has worked hard to direct government money (your money) to developers who produce projects like these. They in turn donate huge sums of money to his political campaigns. Obama apparently views this as a highly successful outcome, as he promotes more of the same.

I just hope that, when he's president, he starts off with 'fixing' healthcare before he gets his Chicago buddies started on bridges and such.
