talking to elitist jerks

you're at the crag, and a group of entitled 5.12 and 5.13 climbers have just swarmed with posse....you see the following:

-clearly cut in front of you, because they just want to warm up so they can go work their proj
-yell and curse when a small piece of rock squashes their identity and chance for fame
-leave used climbing tape, cigarette butts, dog shit, and "uberpowergelproteinwhey" sending food wrappers any where they damn well please
-bitch about belay platforms, bad clipping stances on route, tattered project draws, and crowded parking lotss, but NEVER, ever would be caught dead at a gumby filled trail day, re-bolt tour, donating to Team Suck, RRGCC, Friends of Muir Valley, Access Fund, or actually sweat for a decent cause outside their own spray filled wet dreams
-can't wait to spray at miguel's about that "almost send" or the sick sequence that makes the move waaaay easier than the listed 13c ...brah.
-ask what you did today, but then you see their attention wander as soon as their "cool" friends walk thru the door.
-are entitled because they have a crag dog
-are entitled to not have to climb around YOUR crag dog


at what point to you talk to them and at what point do you just shake your head and walk away?

well, i guess it took me a few weeks to want to talk to you kipp and you were just BOLTING choss, if you had been hard-core, i'd say. week tops.


i love these folks. the wandering eye while your talking is the best trait of all.

unfortunatly the cool kids of today influence the cool kids of next week.

The wandering eye thing I'll admit I've done. It's not like I'm ignoring the person at all, I just noticed my friends. I don't just leave the person. That'd be dick.

Direct confrontation? No way! Always take your fury to the internet - it accomplishes way more to have the entire community and then some involved.
