Seems G was dropped about 35 feet off a sport climb in the Independence Pass area. Doing all right considering: crushed verts (2), pelvis and ankle pretty messed up too.
Lucky he stopped where he did because there was another ledge with a 80 footer waiting as the belayer grabbed him. Rope was not long enough for lowering and no knot was tied in the line, so it just zipped through the Gri-gri.
Man i amreally hoping that Finney recovers quickly! Given those bum feet of his, the last thing he needed was a bum ankle too! What are the doctors saying about the back??? Man I reallly hope that this doesn't impact his school! Keep us updated!
Wait, so as he was being lowered down from the anchors the brake end of the rope fed through and out of the gri-gri while he was still 35' off the deck? Am I understanding this right? That must have been a long route. Any kind of vertebra injury sucks ass. I don't know the guy at all, but I certainly hope he didn't sustain any permanent injury.

Ya, im ok. im alive and walking now. im gonna take another 3 weeks off from doing anything. so the next time i climb will be at the red, hopefully. thanks for the concern..
