Sponsoring The Murray Property Project

Post by vic »

RRGCC,

As an individual climber, I would like to help.
I have donated a little bit of money and already placed a nice bid on one of the routes... I would like to do more though, and was wondering:

Two businesses in town that I know would love to be added to our sponsorship list. May I approach them with this or is this precisely something that should be left to the Officers of the RRGCC?

Vic,

I am the Business Community Coordinator. If you could please contact me to fill me in, that would be great! Thanks for your help!

Vic,

Thanks for asking. It turns out, so as not to confuse our business members and corporate sponsors, with too many different requests we have a Business Community Coordinator for the RRGCC, Gretchen Finniff, Gretchen "coordinates" our corporate sponsorship for the RRGCC and will be handling a lot of the corporate sponsorship for the Murray Property Project. You should contact her and discuss you idea. I am sure she would be delighted to work with you on that great idea and offer.

Also, Morgain Sprague, (spragwa) is another great resource as the Co-Chair and Project Coordinator of the Murray Property Project. She is coordinating most of the fundraising events and efforts for the Murray Property Project.

Both Gretchen and Morgain would appreciate any and all the help, ideas, and, especially, volunteers they could use.

Woohoo! Go Vic!

Again, I will use this thread to shamelessly ask all climbers with fundraising ideas to PM me. No idea is too big, too small. Also, volunteers in INDY and CINCI for the gym fundraisers on Aug. 30 would be great. I know many of you will be climbing here. But for those of you who believe that I can make it rain....PM ME!
Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.

I had asked in another thread, but will ask it again, is anything being done to promote the new website for this project on the internet besides sending out e-mails? A quick check of Google shows the RRGCC website to be number one. I don't know what the new site itself ranks though.

Statistics are BOOMING right now. It's impressive to see how many viewers we currently have.

The site is being submitted to search engines as we speak... however, please be aware that it may take between 2-9 weeks for anything to show up on the major search engines like Googles, Yahoo, Alta Vista, etc... (in accordance with their own little regulations).

In the meantime, I hope that you will share the site with as many people as you can. Get them involved with this great cause.

If I may, I'd like to also place a small reminder:
A 1 acre of land, with a normal size home costs about $180 000. We are getting more than 700 acres for $350 000... how cool is THAT?
(I won't even mention that you usually can't even climb and top out on the roof of your house...)

In advance, I raise my thanks to all climbers, RRGCC (its officers, including Shannon for the great efforts in preserving our right to climb the Murray Property)

Thanks for all of your support.
