Can you say beautiful, boys and girls?

I knew you could!
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

I have an 11 year old son that would probably like climbing with people his age. We try to hit CTOBA on monday nights. Holla.
So, you're a feminist...isn't that cute.

So I got a nephew that turns 3 this October. Jill feels that we can get him in a kids harness or rig something up to fit him. I'm thinking it might be a year or two. Jill is gunning for some top roping at Great Falls. I'm thinking Sport Rock. "We're not going to let our nephew pull on plastic for his first climbing trip!" says Jill. I love my wife.

So how young / little can kid climbers be? I've never really checked out a kids harness. How small do they go?
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Petzl Kids Body Harness -- for 30 lbs or more -- highly recommended, Lurkist and I have used one for 4 yrs w/ Amelia. Amelia started "swinging" from the rope (favorite = from chainsaw!) when she was about 2 yrs old - climbing more by about 5... I think all kids are different, but say the earlier the better. We'll have Ruby in a harness this fall (at 2 yrs) for sure!

Also, we've used those cheap "water shoes" for climbing shoes since kids' feet grow so fast -- they work fine for little ones, we purchased "real" shoes for Amelia last year, which has helped a lot.

As soon as her broken finger is cleared, we'll be back out w/ the family in tow and always love to have other kids around -- pm/email us
