Muir Valley regulations?

Having problems with the board or the online guidebook?

i was sure that rick had told us before that groups larger than...i want to say 6/8 are discouraged as well as guiding which IS NOT allowed except by people that the webbers have given direct verbal consent to. jim taylor being one of the few.

college groups/outdoor clubs violate this rule (regularly and everywhere) and should be dealt with accordingly. i believe the "rules" are on the muir valley website if you are curious.

I don't see an explicit ban on groups or commercial guiding. Good sense says that a ~20 person group (unguided? when there are 2 people who can sort of lead, 2-3 more who can TR belay and a bunch of bumblies, that isn't exactly an "unguided" group) would ask permission first and then be careful and courteous to other people at the crags. But good sense seems to be in short supply.
