well there Goss, I agree with you on most fronts but your fighting an uphill battle for some shitty ground. I've been climbing a long time and still get the "gumby" name but who really cares? Does their heckeling make you less of a climber? and would you really let their bullshit effect how you feel about climbing?
I'm not blasting you but making a suggestion to not let it bother you man it's all good fun bro.
however, the Terry Schivo thing was kinda tastless man......

Good Morning Mike!
Yea I'm not really upset, people can call me names all day... I climb to have fun not to impress others(and by impress i mean to show off...). I was just making the point that a lot of people are quick to judge a person that has less knowledge or are just new in general. And to perhaps as a community offer help to the "gumby" as opposed to brutal nitpicking(this is posted in the climbing community section right). But as Jordan pointed out and many others... "Gumbys" don't like to listen so perhaps the best help would be to round all the "Gumbys" up and take them on a night hike on a ridge line with out flash lights! MUHAHAHA
the only reason i dropped the Terry Schivo bomb was because i wanted to point out the Severity of head injury's. I personally don't want to end up in a vegetative state

"Dear Lord, please don't let me fuck up." — Attributed to Alan Shepard, the first American astronaut (makes a good rappelling prayer)
