Dip Shits Need Help Finding Dip Wall
So my partener and I were TRYING to find Dip Wall yesterday and had more than one problem. So if you have any beta it would be much appreciated. First of all when we parked the car we parked at the bridge that was collapsed. We started walking down what we thought to be the old jeep road, then crossed the same tributary twice (do we look for the trail here?). We did not see the trail so we kept walking until we crossed two more tributaries, then we saw what looked to be an overgrown trail si we started up it only to hik around for a couple hours never finding the crag. There were trails all over the place but it seems like each one of them took us nowhere. If anyone has any info that would help me find the crag I would appreciate it.
So we should have parked by the first bridge that has the culverts coming out of it next to the campsite? We stopped there first and looked for an old jeep trail but all we saw was what looked to be an old dried up river bed, is this the jeep trail?Wes wrote:You drove to far on 9b. That sounds right. Once you cross the road, the trail thing can be flooded, or have standing water, but there is a wide trail that will take you to the first crossing. From there it is pretty straight forward, with the trail pretty well defined. Or at least it was last time I was there, which has been a few years.Cleveland wrote:So we should have parked by the first bridge that has the culverts coming out of it next to the campsite? if you park before crossing the bridge (across the road from the campsite), then all you have to do is walk up to the bridge, look to your left and you will see 2 posts w/ a trail in between them. once you find that trail, you're golden. just follow it all the way to dip.

When we were there at the end of Feb. the trail up the hill was pretty overgrown. After hiking along Indian creek over a pretty good crest then back downhill again, as soon as you cross the little creeks look to your right for a steep gully that heads back towards Indian Cr.and uphill about 25 feet, take this and turn left as soon as you top it out, then turn left. the trail is pretty straight forward from there.
