I just like hearing people's dreams. It provides inspiration. Like the couple that wants three kids..or the guy who wants to be a middle manager..or the gal who wants to be president. Dreams are good.....

14a, since I was once on the cusp of 13a, seems like that is the only choice, though I know it would be a hella long shot. Esp. since I have hardly climbed the last couple years, gained weight, and got distracted by other interests. Now things that used to be casual warm ups are full on red point projects. Routes that I once flashed are now out of reach. But, it is nice to get a new perspective on climbing and life. Might try to get back into it now, finish off some projects, see how far I can make it back up the grade ladder...

I would just like to climb solid 11 in good style. That is all I ever really want to achieve. I have no desire to do anything super hard, but I really would like to feel comfortable walking up to a classic trad line and being able to relax on it and enjoy the scenery, movement, etc.

nice wolfman...i got tensed up on some 5.8 trad lines a few weeks back, and thought how much more enjoyable they'd be if i could have relaxed...

I feel ya wolfman. I am so freakin awkward when it come to crack climbs. I would love to be strolling up Astroman with wind in my short gray hair shouting down to my belayer "HEY....this is a living!"

this is a good point, and not just concerning trad. i mean, which would you rather be able to do: flail all over a hard line like a retarded baboon, or cruise up a more moderate climb like it was 2nd nature. i would opt for the latter.
