When I came back to climbing 2 years ago, I decided that 13b was my ultimate goal (I had only done 3 or 4 12a sport routes at the time). However, after getting to 13a quickly, and doing them in only a few tries, I've decided to see just how far I can take it, provided I can stay motivated.

The only difference way back then and now is smarter training. I study hard.

Who knows? Maybe 5.14 is reasonable.

Who does not want to climb harder? I think we all want to climb harder grades but it really boils down to the discipline it requires to climb those grades. I dream of 5.14's but reality is that I don't have the discipline to climb that hard now. I may someday, I'm not dead yet.

I just want to be climbing strong enough to enjoy the types of routes that makes the red famous, so I would say somewhere in 12a-13a, 10a slabs are cool but I'd like to move on to steep.

You are going to hurt Allah's feelings. All his routes are 13b. It is an easy fix. Just edit your post to read "12a to 13b make the Red famous". Thanks

Pigsteak,
You painted me into a corner. This is the first time I have had to admit that 14a might be my dream grade.

Nice poll. (This might sound like a pun)
