Gri-Gri Brake Hand

Other Crags, Aid Climbing, Bouldering, etc...

Do you feel it is safe to take your brake hand off the rope while belaying with a gri-gri?

Simple, and if you're with a party of 3 and want to stay warm before a project, its a good way to do it and maximize time.
Took a minute for me to figure out the clove hitch part on the first lead, but I get it now. Thanks!

Everybody should definitely take a gander at picture 3D. I never thought of that scenario, and it seems extremely unlikely, but boy would that suck.

Their picture on how to feed out slack is a joke.

The description of how to rappel was kind of interesting...

The scenarios in picture 3D seem not so unlikely to me. They are probably there because they've happened. As for the poll, I say it's more safe to keep the break hand on, so every one should do it.
