Agreed, Tool is one of the greatest ever. Alot of times I find myself humming this one while climbing...
So familiar
And overwhelmingly warm
This one, this form I hold now
Embracing you, this reality here
This one, this form I hold now
So wide-eyed and hopeful
Wide-eyed and hopefully wild
We barely remember
What came before this precious moment
Choosing to be here
Right now
Hold on, stay inside
This body holding me
Reminding me that I am not alone in
This body makes me feel
Eternal, all this pain is an illusion
combs, parabol/parabola is one of my definite favorites. when it comes to climbing, for me, lateralus couldn't be more about it. have any of you seen them live?! my god, what a trip. let's hear some live tool stories!
i'll go first:
my girlfriend and i saw them at bonaroo (dont go to bonaroo) last year. so after a song, we hear, "ladies and gentlemen, Tom-fucking-Morello!" and then they break into lateralus. anyways, danny starts destroying the drum solo and i swear to god, there's this like aura or forcefield around him and he looks like some mutant alien creature b/c his hands and entire torso are just a blur of fluid movement that seems impossible.
then some chick in front of us wigged out and the rent-a-cops took her down dog the bounty hunter style. guess she had some sort of epiphany and realized that tool was sent from another planet to save the human race and couldn't handle the truth. weak.

Tool is it for me, the greatest rock band ever! I've seem them twice. The first time shorty after 9/11. Maynard said something profound about the terrorist attack that no one understood and he took some shit for it. As for Danny Carey the drummer check this out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVbFrl9wLBA.
And for a old interview of Maynard check this out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-_a7FzzGps.
