WTF

Post by Bruisebrother »

After Muscleing around at the Beach yesterday, I was wondering! Anybody know the story behind the nest of cams, webbing and a screw link hanging in the middle of 'Bloody Fingers'?

Comments: Yellow Jacket nest near the top. We bailed on a couple of old pieces that needed to be retired anyways. Saw someone elses bail nut a little higher up, but the bees wouldn't let us get that far up. Too bad. Seemed like a great climb.
seems like that explains it pretty good

Maybe! Why would someone climb with gear they thought should be retired? Seems they were good enough for a rapell anchor. Makes more sense to downclimb, walking the pieces back with you. 'Clean Climbing/Leave no Trace'. That bail piece above, on the yellow webbing has been a fixed piece to back up the anchor above for atleast 8/10 yrs.

Who said the gear was bootied. Thanks for the offer but it's been tested. I love inexperienced/new tardies. My booty rack is almost complete! Hey, I ain't old yet. Just getting worn out from use! Rather go up in flames than rust away!
