yes, purple cow is tasty (mom & pops greasy, but yummy nonetheless)
apparently, beattyville now offers a mexican restaurant as well. never eaten there, but linda says it's tasty

Don't forget the lodge at the state park. I hear their fried chicken is delicious with a New Castle.


Sounds like there is a golden business opporunity waiting for someone with the time, money, and cooking skillz.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

oh wow I completely forgot about the lodge. I used to go there for breakfast back when my trips were funded by my parents and i wasnt a cheap dirtbag. Its good stuff.

Looks like all the climbers that boycotted the BBQ had some kind of impact.

I think everyone that has ever had RRO misses it. Wish there was somthing we could do to get it back up and going.

OH and I Miss you MATT and AMY i havent see you guys in a long long time LOVE YA both a ton

There is a Mom and Pop restaurant in Stanton right behind the post office. I never ever remember the name of the place but the food is good every time I've been there. Very good prices as well. It looks like a house that has been transformed into a diner.

It is home cooked comfort food.
