Help for an old man

Post by pigsteak »

So I see a young man this AM with saggy jeans and his under wear showing, with a wife beater. I thought this "look" had been played out in 2003.....

We've seen ball caps on backwards, sideways, flat bills, curved bills, work boots with the laces untied, crocs, keens, teva, and yes, hammer pants.

My question, with summer upon us, what are the "cool" trends that you hipsters are seeing? So when I am driving the streets of Lexington, and I see some ridiculous outfit and I shout "that looks stupid", I don't want the young snap yelling back "you have no clue gramps!"

Help please.

female chest cleavage = in
male butt cleavage = out

these should be a constant starting point for trends. that's all I know

According to Chip the Ripper, you are right piggy. That style is played out.

thanks andrew...you should have the inside track...any hints on what we'll see this year? I saw a dude with a price tag on his ball cap a few months back, and thought "man, is he ever behind the coolness factor"

Boys: Skinny (girl) pants, high top Nike's, trendy T's, flat bills. And lots of bright colors.

Girls: About the same. Girls try to look like boys who dress like girls. Oh, and leggings are the new gaucho.

Basically- dumb. Girls look like pears in skinny jeans, and every boy looks gay.

fashion is something i'll never quite get. i remember back in the 90's i told someone in school that their sweat shirt was on inside out. i was informed in not so nice of manner that it was what all the cool kids were doing!

i've decided that i'll be sporting the hippified, coffee-shop, beat-nik, trendy look this year. those damn hippys got it right the first time and that style will never die. it's way easy to pull off now b/c major brand names have finally caught on. "the hippys won't come back you say, mellow out or you will pay!"

what is gaucho, sounds like a nasty fungus you get between your toes.

Also, are uggs for men in style yet?
