which are you partial to?

I'm doing something for school, and was just wondering between the two companies...which do you like better/prefer?
And if there is a reason as to why you like one over the other, please feel free to enhance. I'm thinking mostly in the sport climbing arena, but if you prefer BD because of their skiing equipment too, please tell! Thanks much!

I am torn. I am more partial to Petzl for their cams but I really like Black Diamond autolocking belay devices..........
