Toledo gyms

Post by marathonmedic »

I'm going to be moving to Toledo in a few months. Anybody know anything about the climbing scene there?
Ticking is gym climbing outdoors.

I feel sorry for you. There's not much in toledo, except flat land. :/

However, there is a little bit of hope- Planet Rock in Ann Arbor, MI is about an hour away and is a really nice indoor gym.
There is very little climbing in Ohio, however some can be found! Lisbon, ohio (Logtown), Hinkley, and Hocking Hills. Grand Ledge, MI is also about an hour-ish away from Toledo.

So there isn't very much in Toledo. But the Red is only about 5-6 hours away! :) So plan on making a lot of trips down....

planet rock in ann arbor. Grand ledge is at least 2, and not worth it.

lived in Toledo myself for quite a few years. As far as I know there hasn't been any development in the area but definitely Planet Rock in Ann Arbor, straight up US23. Went to UT there and was 50mi away and only took 45minutes. Anyway when I was there the ppl there were just awesome.

Grew up outside of Toledo I agree with the previous post, I am really sorry you have to go there. Nice art museum and nice zoo surprisingly, but not much else. went to school in MI, and ended up being the general manager of the Planet Rocks (ann arbor and pontiac) before I moved to the Red. The Planet Rocks are great, not that I am biased or anything.
