That's a rather tortured interpretation of the poll, Wes. Only 15% of the respondants favored your "solution" to the "problem". The rest didn't care, liked it the way it was, or favored a political forum. A political forum, one without the very subjective rules and restrictions that you suggest (5:18 post above) would work just fine. Would a separate forum be too much work?

But, seriously, unless everyone thinks that I was just posting way too often, I don't see what the problem was. I really think that the "problem" was that you were constantly exposed to political ideas that you did not approve of, and it was driving you crazy. And, as a result, you came up with a crazy solution.

Maybe the best solution would be for either you, or me to change. I'd be happy to turn it down or quit posting altogether on this forum if I'm really the problem (new poll anyone?). Or maybe you could find someone willing to administrate this forum if you hate what it has become.

and the only reason I voted for creating a forum is because I was hoping to at least try to accommodate the minority.

As someone who has been part of the BBS (and the previous versions), I thought, and continue to think that most of the politics thread are overwhelming re-warmed spam. So, I thought a change was in order. But, I truthfully don't care enough to deal with it beyond what I have done already. If you all want all the crap then you can have it all. I truthfully don't care enough about either side of the political spectrum to be biased in trying to limit the spam. But, if thinking that is what helps you feel better about yourself, then I am OK with it.

Now everyone post away. Awe us with your political insights and original ideas. Seriously, I am over trying to mod anything.

I disagree with what LK Day has to say 99% of the time, but I still appreciate his willingness to discuss controversial topics.

I am not sure what my day would be like with a daily shot of Day . I reevaluate self by deciding how and how strongly I disagree with him. I would love to do breakfast with coffee, toasted crumpet and eggs with him--there is no way the eggs would be anything but scrambled. Those few moments in which Larry and I find ourselves like-minded are similar to that squirrely disobedient dog finally sitting on command or similar to putting my head against 2.5 inches of frigid plexiglass with 150 tons of water and 1300 lbs of polar bear swimming 2.5 inches away from my forehead.

I agree with Day 100% of the time....only because it makes 98% of climbers squirm in their psuedio intellectual liberal tofu caffeine driven linear minds.

Huh? Are people getting offended by stuff posted on the internet? Sounds like kywilderness a year or two ago.
Create a separate political forum like the gang at kywilderness did and move on.
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
