HELL YEAH.....

Post by SikMonkey »

I did Nicorette this afternoon! I just went up the first time to hang the draws, then came back down and went for the send! I am so stoked about this particular send because I have been wanting to do this route ever since I saw it on the RRGCC web page when I first started climbing! It is such a kick ass line!

Also, lots of thanks to Power2U for giving me the beta and helping me work out that first crux last week and thanks to my partner Todd C for the catch and the encouragement.

Cool! I've stared up at that, and, uh, stared some more - it sure isn't 'just another jug haul'! Nice job!

nice job, it is such an awesome climb, very aesthetic and a cool crux.

Nice job SM. I am glad that we met up there last week and I was able to be of assistance. That's cool that you did that lower section that you were having troubble with last week. Did you do it that same way? Right hand pocket, cross over left hand ot the other pocket, hit the intermediate with your right and go again to the slot up and out right? Just curious.

Keek on climbing in the heat, when fall gets here the holds will feel sticky like glue and you'll be pulling down!

Later.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

Yep. I did it just like that except I didn't use the little tiny intermediate (uh, it's kind of not there anymore  ), I used the sidepull crimp that's down and right from it. That was actually the key that allowed me to do that move more easily because it centered me up better on my feet. It's a WAY better hold that that little tiny flaky crimp anyway. :D Thanks again though, and yeah, I am looking forward to cooler weather when I can go knock out Heart Shaped Box and Steelworker!

Thanks AC. Next in line to go down is John Henry at Oil Crag. Hopefully it will go this weekend IF it doesn't rain us out.
