I have fallen on my first piece a couple times. Always had a great belay that stopped me before hitting the ground. Always seems to happen at Muscle Beach....

that was the scariest fall I ever took. After that ,they all seem casual. The first thing I noticed was I was looking at the sky for some strange reason. After that it was all, OH SHIT!

Do I know this fall? ;)

I think my longest fall was from the anchors of Pine. Thanks, pigsteak, for being there as I screamed my way through the tree... that was one of those amusing times when you just know you can't clip but you're not... willing... to let go... just... yet... and then finally decide, screw it - wheeeee!

It might have been 40 feet, but I'm sure pigsteak'll call me out if I'm exaggerating. ;)

anything to sport wienies over 10 feet is exaggerated to 40 feet, so you will get a pass from me yasmeen...

although, I must admit, the ride you took on Pine WAS huge...ripping thru the tree branches and screaming like no tomorrow. It was a solid 25 footer no doubt.

now, when you purposefully dropped shamis, that deck fall was only 18 feet. therefore it does not meet the strict definition of a sport fall. please start a thread "longest decks"
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

I regularly blow the clip at the anchors on Chainsaw. Hope that last bolt holds!

I also have fallen at the anchor on Momma Benson.

Nothin like 70+ though. I am afraid to lead Tuna Town
Maybe this Spring!
I have belayed people on the Tuna Town fall and 40 ounces too. I end up about 20 feet in the air--that's kind of a ride!

I took a killer fall top roping on fuzzy. I blew the bottom boulder problem and with rope stretch I hit the ground.
