What knot to use?
I've seen this as well, but I stopped doing it after I realized that it encourages rope movement (which results in wear) over the tie-in point at the harness.Meadows wrote:Some Dayton folks showed me a cool way to tie an 8 so that it unties easily. I recall that they loop the tail through the harness twice before finishing the knot.
I still use the bowline though.
I don't need to be doing anything that would encourage my harness to wear prematurely.
