What about biodiesel? If we're going to be a country full of fat, french fry eating, KFC sucking fat-asses, we might as well use the leftovers to do something...

Agreed. I heard if you buy a diesel vehicle, it can be easily converted to run on french fry grease but it will still run on regular diesel fuel. Is this true? Just stop by a fast food joint and fill up. Of course, if a lot of people started doing that they might just start charging them for the grease once they realized they had a commodity on their hands.
Crankmas - The new diesels are super clean, with catalytic converters, particulate traps, etc. They don't smoke, don't stink, don't rattle. You'd hardly know you're not driving a gas engined vehicle, except the diesel has way more torque! That's all cool. Unfortunately diesel already costs 40 cents a gallon more than PREMIUM here in Bozeman. As all these cool new diesels come on line, demand will likely drive the cost of fuel even higher. Shit.
I'm lost in a world of Dodge, Ford and Chevy old school - ain't no slick VW hi-tech in my line of work. Heard about them though- we need some damn trains
