Hey Gretchen, didn't Tony market and coordinate one of Cinci'c Climb Time's climbing competition. If he's the same guy, when I met him I figured he would land in sales and marketing somewhere. I can see where he might wear on your nerves. But if memory serves me right, the number of contestents numbered up around 125. Sponsers where involved and the money went to the "Free Store Food Bank".
However he does seem to leave a trail of scorched ground. One story has it that even the 'French" have complained. Then again the "French" have their own ways. I was just surprised how wide spread his reputation is.
Pigsteak said get him going in the right direction, and he will work hard with you guys...
He may be right.
Who knows this dude?

I know Tony as well if not better than most. I'll have to agree, he's a big talker, you'll really want to stuff a sock down his throat at times but he's a really great guy. He'll give you boxes (literally) of climbing stuff, buy you food if you let him stay at your place and he'll even clean your house top to bottom while you're out.
He's a bit of a neat freak, a health food nut, a sport climber to the core but he'll try his best to be your friend in the only way he knows how. I miss the little monster sometimes. He caused me more trouble than he was worth, but I had to forgive him everytime he screwed up.
Take it easy on him. He's just trying to find love like every one else out there.

Thats all good to know. There is one guy down here who got to know him that actually thinks he is an ok guy...I had just heard he caused a huge rift at the red and don't want to see that here. If he means well I think most of us will give him another chance...talk about getting off on the wrong foot though...

WOW! I can't believe I don't now Tony...sounds like he has quite a rep. I do actually kow another Tony who sounds just like this Tiny but is a traddy not a sport climber. I would love to get these two together....what a show that would be.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

Deadly Dudley,
Why don't you get to know the guy before you start investigating him? Find out for yourself what kind of guy he is and not who he is in the rumor mill. That goes for most everybody else on here too. Why can't we just get to know someone without hearing everyone else's opinion first?
Y'know, I quit listening to video store clerks along time ago when they tried to tell me movies were bad or good. Why? Cause I missed a lot of good movies because some people have poor taste. I figured out that works with people too.
Tony has flaws, he talks a lot. Most climbers I know talk a lot. I talk a lot. Tony does bolt some good lines though. And he has done a lot in the Red as far as anchor and bolt replacement goes. So no matter what his spray level is, he does do some good things and is mostly positive in his actions and almost always positive in his intentions.

Wicked - Sounds like a pretty good way to close her out. Don't come down to hard on the old boy for asking, that is what this board is for. Kinda feel bad for Tony, I know I have way too many sin in my past to be scrutinived by this panel of peers. I'd have to beg Ray to shut her down before it got out of hand.
