Holy shit. A "consolation fuck".

Damn girl you are mean.

I do think Horatio would enjoy delivering the consolation sex. He loves to "finish" while tasting your tears.

after years of trying, I realized complete apathy is the best route. why train and skip the krispy cremes and my. dew, just to send one letter bump higher?

and there you have it!! the asshole's in the crowd. Thats okay though, I'd rather be a "weak" climber (as you put it) than a total blowhard dickhead :D

mr. driskell...see, you too, have not realized the karma of not caring..apparently their comments rub you the wrong way, so you have not quite reached the pinnacle of self enlightenment. don't blame your lack of trying with a character defect however...many people suck at climbinb..just be honest with it.

it is like people who jog a 10 minute mile and call themselves runners. no, you are a recreational jogger. call a spade a spade.

Pig, don't you burn off the Kremes and Dew by running many consecutive 10 minute miles (like 26)? That's not apathy.

The recipe for getting over fear is the same for any fear/phobia: pair a non-scared feeling with the thing that is scaring you.

The whole key is to train yourself to be calm when you are climbing and not to get hurt. The more often you climb/fall without getting hurt or peeing your pants, the better.

(climb within your limits a lot to build confidence, then push your limits on routes that are safe to fall on. Make sure you have a good belayer so you won't be worrying about that--then just fall off when you miss a move). Eventually, you will associate less fear with climbing and falling. If you get scared and puss out--that increases your association of fear and falling. Don't lead a climb that is so dangerous that you can't fall on it without hurting yourself.

If you start freaking out on a route and want to puss out--
Practice slow breathing and positive thoughts when you are climbing(e.g. "it's fine to fall here"). If you start thinking scary thoughts about falling--stop yourself, breathe, and get focused on the task at hand--climbing.
Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.

I"m not saying you're a jogger, but you found a way around starving yourself for the redpoint.
