Habitat for Humanity Project

Post by Rags »

With my roof done and most of the house projects complete, I am looking for a new carpentry project and I thought it might be possible to get a bunch of climbers together to do something positive for the community. How many of you would be willing to spend a couple of weekends in March/April/June helping out one of the best social programs in the country?

I know several of you have construction skills--why not take a few days and make it worthwhile while helping someone out? Habitat for Humanity has remained above the recent scandals that have plagued the largest relief groups (Red Cross, United Way, etc...) and continues to rebuild our nation's infrastructure by making/ renovating affordable housing.

Affordable housing is an issue that everybody is affected by--let's get together and get something going. How many of you would be interested in putting your draws down for a weekend and picking up a hammer?

talk to tacketts about this as i think they might have the contact info of a group that came by a couple years ago and helped with a few homes along 77.. they're out of louisville and were excited to hear climbers might be willing and able to help. i'll see if i can't find the info as well..

could have been through a group called "appalachian project".. but i think i've lost the emails..

and sure, i'd help out.. ;)
and great loves will one day have to part -smashing pumpkins

You can count Driskell Home Reair to donate time and equipment to this effort. I am set up to do just about anything in home repair. I'll also bring some employee time on as well. Just let me know so I can put it on my calender. It fills up about a month in advance but if its on the weekend it will be no problem. It's good to hear that other people care and glad that it's climbers stepping up to help out!!

3. do you want people that have very little experience or is this only for the people that know what they're doing? :D

can the first project be a new hot-tub at my crib? I am pretty sure i qualify. plus, rags, since you live like 4 houses away you can use anytime. Please when getting the hot-tub donation, request a 6 person with the extra-jet package.

I'd love to do this. Especially if it's in Slade or, better yet, Beattyville in Lee County!

perhaps we should have a something for the inexperienced builders/construction people to see if they qualify first...a blowjobs for humanity project. my dick, ashtrays lips...in his new hot tub of course. we can make a KY version of the man-spray video.
