Since the bolts are already there and we are not requesting permission to add routes, they should be considered grandfathered in. Tons of things get special exceptions legally due to their age.

Funkidelic was the my first route climbed in the red along with my first 10 redpoint. I'd hate to see it lost and would put forth effort to hand drill new holes.

When this guy isn't posting porn he has great suggestions. :D
 I think a hand drilling session sounds like good fun. A bunch of Luddite climbers descending on FRC with hand drills would be like the tearing-jerking twist of plot in Witness (1985; Harrison Ford, Kelly McGillis (HOT!!!), Viggo Mortensen, and Danny Glover) when the Amish neighbors come over the hill to save Ford, bearing pitch forks and other sharp plow-shear to sword type devices found on the Amish farm. We could have beers after.

I am for hand drilling. We don't have to do it all at once, or even every bolt. He could be a process and be done by spring. Two routes a weekend is doable, and don't even replace some of those piles.

I still think a bolt will blow some place esle.

Yawn. What was I thinking? I forgot that my motivation for climbing was totally self serving. Fuck everyone else. To any one getting on a route with jingus bolts, AMF YOYO. Adios Mother Fucker, Your On Your Own.
