I think the quote refers to people who always talk but never do anything. I used to be one of those people. I decided to quit being that way a while back and that quote serves as a reminder to me to reject being a wanna-be and just BE.
Unfortunately I am still "thinking about acting" as it was quite wet out and I put it off until it gets a little more dry. I did visit the Red today, but I hiked into the hills and stared off into the distance a while before returning home. I will update this thread after the deed is done...and it will be done. I have prepared myself with knowledge, and feel ready to confront it.
I don't know you, but your posts are revealing. I hope you make it over the mental hurdles to reach your goals.
My posts are always intended to be revealing. If I did not want to reveal anything, I would not post. Any thing that I say is intended to be taken quite literally. Yes there is a mental hurdle to deal with. Isn't that a full half of the challenge or more? Now, yesterday the weather was wet, and my usual climbing partner (my wife) wanted to hike instead, so I spent the afternoon exploring the Indian Stairway region. My next day at the Red will see me lead.

The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own.
You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president.
You realize that you control your own destiny.
