Shamis -- with all due respect (:-) you climb harder than me), what do you think the animals you eat are eating?!
It takes less resources for vegans to eat than meat-eaters. If it comes down to it, humans in competition with animals for crops are going to let the animals die (humans always come first, right?!).
The humans wanting to eat animals then are going to be the ones in trouble unless they convert to being vegetarian!
Have a happy day!

So what do you eat when you're wandering around in the wilderness of kentucky?
So if I were to be wandering around in the wilderness, I hope I would have my poop shovel with me so I could dig up some roots. Can't say I plan on making a habit of wandering in the wilderness anytime soon, but I suppose it might be good if I would also get to know my mushrooms before wandering.
I'll clarify the respect thing -- 1) I respect an individual who has made the effort and acquired the ability to climb harder than me. That does not mean they are not an asshole though. 2) I do not think you are an asshole. (so far)

Watch out Shamis. This is what I was talking about.....
Those well read hippies are tricky. One of them tricked me into being a Vegan for like a day.
.
This Pangea is light years ahead of you in rhetoric (go ahead look that word up. I will wait.....got it. cool. Lets move on). You have got to punch your weight. You are not in his league. You are not in his game. You are not even in the same F'n sport. He has already made it obvious that you are wrong. Run away. Thank him. Just agree to disagree or you will end up eating crow. Then he will prove to you that you should not eat crow. See what I mean. RUN.

Actually, I didn't take enough time to respond before. Your whole argument fails when I make it clear that I, like nearly all meat eaters in the world, am actually an omnivore. That means we can pretty much eat what we want, so a lack of meat isn't really a big problem.
