I find it interesting that we can prosecute people for war crimes specifically for waterboarding but somehow Bush/Cheney think when they do it it's not a crime.

Wateroarding is the shit! Unless it's the kind of waterboarding that they're talking about. Yeah, that kind sucks.
So, did we change the definition? Like, if we waterboard now, we aren't calling others out for it? I don't know. Or is it a more nuanced thing, like if you're an un-uniformed combatant, we can waterboard? I've seen videos where people get their heads cut off, that seems less reversible than simulated drowning - it's a start.
