The car itself was originally decorated a few years back by the winners of a grant contest. They got to have the car for a year and then KMAC got it back. It's been sitting outside for over a year and the wood was rotting, colors fading, etc. I just re-painted it for the Day of the Dead thing on Main Street (and it just so happens to be First Friday). It's still hard to believe I got it done in four days (with help from one other person on two days). All you Louisvillians head down and check it out tonight. It's in front of the KMAC across from 21C between 7th and 8th street. It's being used as a public altar so you can bring your own Day of the Dead stuff to put on it.
