Situation Worsens in Iraq

Post by L K Day »

Dude, it wasn't supposed to go down like this! New stats just released, and Iraq is worse than ever. Check out the numbers, they are terrifying. Since The Surge began in June overall violence in Baghdad is down 59%, and for the rest of Iraq Suicide Bomb Attacks down 65%, Roadside Bombs down 80 friggin %, overall Enemy Attacks down 77%. I mean What The Fuck? Doesn't anybody remember there's an F'n war going on?

And, it gets worse! In Anbar Province nobody got killed last week. Not one fuckin person, not one innocent Iraqi, not one infidel GI. WTF? Everybody knew Anbar was Al Qaeda safe haven, "death to all who enter" and all that. Crap, now the Americans are strolling around like they own the place, and complaining of Boredom, for Allah's sake. Do you know how humiliating that is? Why, not so long ago, every newspaper, every TV news hour told us Al Qaeda had won in Anbar. What's happened? Johnny Jihad pack it out of province on vacation? Ramadan's over dudes. Get with it! Besides, whatever became of the BIG RAMDADAN OFFENSIVE, huh? Some fucking Jihad, It's time to quit humping goats and get with it.

Osama, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, can't somebody do something about this? Oh, for the great days of the "quagmire", or the glorious pronouncements that "the war is lost". Shit, if somebody doesn't get off their ass and DO SOMETHING! this thing could all be over just when victory was at hand.

Even our loyal allies the American Journalists are becoming disheartened. There's almost no coverage of The Great Jihad in Iraq anymore. This is just really depressing. I'm beginning to wonder if the war might be unwinable.

Well, I suppose we could send Blackwater in to up the KIA numbers...
Sarcasm is a tool the weak use to avoid confrontation. People with any balls just outright lie.

Larry, you've got a real defeatist attitude. It's people like you that really grind down our country's efforts to lose this war and succumb to insurgents and Al Qaeda.

We can still lose this war buddy! Hang in there! I'm sure someone died somewhere! Keep your head up! Don't believe those "feel-good" stories!

Gosh Larry, that so, uh, true! Yeah, that's the ticket! The America hating New York Times only ran 177 articles on Iraq in the last week. Sheesh, that's only about 25 articles a day. It's a total coverup!

tomdarch - Yeah, see what I mean. In happier times there were 177 articles a week, just on Abu Ghraib. They've all but abandoned us!

overhung - You haven't been following things very closely, have you? When the Dems failed to stop The Surge, they decided that undercutting our relationship with Turkey might hold the key to an American defeat in Iraq. They pushed through a resolution condeming the "Armenian Genocide" hoping that it would piss Turkey off so much that they'd cut off support for the war effort. They might be right.

Now, a right thinking person would condemn any and all genocides, including any conducted by Turkey. But the genocide in question happened a hundred fucking years ago! Why wait until now to issue an American condemnation. You guessed it. To undermine our relationship with Turkey. You know what they say. Question The Timing.
