hey Tom, you must not have gotten your fundy right wing memo that clearly reminds us to believe in the sanctity(notice that word has tity in it) of marriage. I framed my memo and hung it above my bed next to the banner that say."God fates Fags" but I have another copy I can email to you.
"Ignore the divorce behind the curtain ... stare hatefully at the sicko perverts!" Oh, yeah, I got the memo!

My ideal candidate would probably be some freaky Obama/Kusinich love child with a little Hillary (and probably a tiny squirt of Ron Paul, just for fun) tossed in the DNA sequencer. But he/she/it would be generally too far left for the American public, and would have some weird contradictions and limited Libertarian positions that would piss off a lot of Democrats, so 'the perfect candidate' is a bit hopeless for me.

Big picture though, it's really fantastic to see so many people holding back on the bickering and basically saying, "within reason, I'll vote for the Democratic candidate who is most likely to win." This is way too important to be overly picky. It's a nice side effect that for all the damage B.ush has done to America and the World, that the US will finally get its first woman president.

But it's going to be a while until we finally get our first multi-ethnic, but culturally Black, woman, disabled, genuinely multi-lingual, lesbian, atheist President. Maybe not in my lifetime, but someday...... sigh.....

And maintaining such composure through such a very public and humiliating ordeal takes MORE strength than any of us can imagine.

Kudos to her for separating her marriage from her business.
