anybody slackline much? i can inconsistently make all the way across the line. now i'm working on jumps (scary as hell) and turning (hard to keep balance). i set up my own line in my front yard.

my girlfriend set one up in her front yard as well. hers is really slack though and i keep falling off it. the one in bishop was a little too slack for me as well. the ones at miguels and at hueco were good though. i guess i just need to practice more.

Try using trekking poles early on to get the feel for the line. Once you have that, drop the poles and you are on your way. I've seen people go from barely being able to stand up on the line to making it all the way across and back consistantly without the poles in an evening.
