I 100% agree with you. Would it have been so difficult for them to ask Wes? And same goes to Jeremy- even if Wes had been ok with it, they would have had to get J's permission as well.

Either way, whichever you believe, it’s not a problem now.

It would be one thing if they'd take the picture from Wes (say he submitted it for publication) but it was available freely on the web and they played with it. I just can't see how this is a big deal. None of these people published his picture in any way other than as a part of the Photoshop site. They didn't submit his photo for publication as their work. Just as I can cut a picture out of a magazine, draw on it, and then show it to friends, these people took a picture from the web, drew on it, and then showed it to their friends.

I did not support Metallica against Napster.
