Dude, let's go do 'shrooms, talk about life, and shoot cans with my pellet rifle. It'll be great!Roentgen Ray wrote:We all would like to have a lot of power, but it takes an aweful lot of effort to get it. B getting it, you might loose yourself. So, it's a lot easier to taser a woman for kicking the windows than to respect the woman enough to take the effort to sit on her to control her. Same result, vastly different amounts of effort. People, by nature, are self serving. It's easier to taser than it is to sit on her. Same results, path of least resistance. Willing to treat others not as one themselves would like to be treated, but valuing the self over the other. The slef is always the core of the circles of life and relationships.

All this aside, how do I get ahold of my own taser?
I can get you a civillian taser, excactly the same as the police, except it does'nt have a time/date recorder in it for court testimony when it's fired.
It will come with a belt holster, one extra shot and instructions on it's use.
It will cost you $525.00+tax, it's one hundred percent legal and shipped direct to you.
Oh, and I agree with you totally agree with your above statement!

It wasn't a political rally. It was a speech at a University. That kind of stupid crap should be expected and the cops should have been prepared. Apparently they felt they should fuck him up for making a scene. If that bunch of cops couldn't get him cuffed and physically carry him out of there without using a taser (which I still say is tantamount to beating him with clubs) then they shouldn't be cops. They're a bunch of jack-booted thugs, not trained professionals.

Do remember this Pigsteak...When tasers were introduced all the libbies correctly pointed out that it would lead to excessive use of force, and all the conservatives said it would be not. Guess who was wrong. If you honestly think a potentially lethal weapon should be used for cutting in line...Jesus, what do you say to that?

Those takedown techniques aren't exactly without risk for the officer. They're making a judgement call to escalate a confrontation to a physical level in order to defuse a situation (which is a different discussion). Once they engage things can get very dicey in a hurry. I used to work out with a cop who had several years of martial arts experience, including weapons defense. One night he got stabbed while on duty. I remember him talking about the incident and he said he had no idea where the knife came from, it happened that fast. The point of the taser is to enable the officer to "take down" a subject without having to put the officer's safety in danger.Alan Evil wrote:If they couldn't get him on the ground and handcuff him without using anything more than their bodies then they shouldn't be cops.
I just got a chance to see the video from CNN and it does a really good job of showing the juicy parts but doesn't show any part of what led up to the engagement.
Ticking is gym climbing outdoors.
Again, if four cops can't handle one scrawny libby college kid, then they are useless. Same goes for the 200+ pound cop tasering the 100 lb drunk woman. In either incidence, no life was threatened, and no cop was in danger. In fact, the kid had his hands in the air the whole time.marathonmedic wrote: The point of the taser is to enable the officer to "take down" a subject without having to put the officer's safety in danger.
