Has there been any know copper head problems back there? I haven't been there since last winter, and was going to take some youngins with me saturday. Off memory it seems like the kinda crag that might have more than its fair share.

Dude, you have nothing to worry about. Fatalities from copperheads are extremely rare. Keep your dog from digging under rocks and you have nothing to worry about. Mostly harmless. They're beautiful. Seriously, we've done a LOT more damage to them thinking they're "dangerous" then they ever could have done to us.

Yeah kirker, didn't you know that having a good attitude about snakes and realizing they are mostly harmless will prevent them from being at the crag?

If only that would work. :D

Ow and marathonmedic I'm not worried about them being there just curious if there is a problem spot people have noticed. Would hate to have my 6 year old laying on a blacket coloring and see one, or two, or three crawling out of their den to catch some rays.

I missed the part about the kids, but I would think that a 6 year-old would be old enough to stay away from one if you said they were "dangerous".

lol, in an effort to keep Andrew from totally going off...

kirker, I'm betting the top ledge that you have to climb the rope ladder to get to will have snakes for sure. So, keep the kids on the lower ledge until you get up there and scope it out. :D (Or, you can just send me up there if I end up climbing with you all Sat)
