Rocktown

I went to rocktown last weekend, and I enjoyed it. I will probably go back soon.

However, the camping situation down there seems pretty bad. I didn't look around too hard, but there didn't seem to be any facilities close by, and I didn't see any camp sites or campgrounds that had any sort of bathroom at all.

I don't mind too much, but the gf is pretty particular about having a toilet from time to time. So I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on a good place to camp near rocktown? I figured I'd ask here before turning to google.

yeah i would "gogle" it. it is the bist serch engin fer sur.

btw, rocktown in september??? good for you as i am sure the crowds are light. i have always gone there in December/January.

The temperatures in the mornings were perfect, and the temps after about 6pm were really good too. I just wanted to check the place out. Tired of being on autopilot to the red every weekend.

the gas station at the botom of the mountain is the closest facility... is it called Uncle Jebs?

Be like Paul and camp at Walmart! Or there are some pretty reasonably priced hotels in town.

Yeah. Uncle Jed's. but apart from the extensive selection of drug paraphernalia they have, its not that useful because I didn't see a public bathroom there.

a hotel in toan is best...I think we paid about $60, but ya can't beat being able to poop at leisure.

Seriously though, if you need a bong, bowl, or crack pipe, Jed's is the place to go!!!

the bathroom is around back...... it isn't inside the headshop part.
