I've been working my ass off trying to get back under 200lbs. Good information.

Now if food wasn't so tastey and beer so awesome.

i've always been overweight by about 10-25 pounds. i've tried various things - lost weight and gained it back. this summer i said to hell with it. stopped counting calories and made a firm committment to climb routes every weekend, boulder twice a week, and run 3 miles 3 days a week. i haven't lost a lot of weight, but I did lose 4 sizes and am having a blast!!!

moral of the story: quit worring about what the scale says and go out and have fun!! :D

Weight loss for climbing is so old school. I remember articles about Timmy Fairfield, who was known for his strict eating habits, gaining weight and increasing a couple of letter grades as a result.

i've lost about 10 lbs over the summer because I was too busy to eat. i also cut out a lot of prepared foods, especially frozen pizzas. i was surprised when i randomly stepped on a scale and saw that i lost weight because I really don't feel like i've been on a "diet", i just stopped eating so much crap.
