Francis Macomber
I noticed someone put up a route called The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber. I was wondering who the heck francis Macomber was so I looked it up. What a fucked up story. Hemmingway was such a lush, but it makes you think. Anyway I hope I never go big game hunting with Mrs. Ynot. Still it seems like an appropriate name for a route. Good Job.

raymond carver rocks
Hemmmmmmmmingway. Ynot was just enjoying the name.
More routes should be named after good pieces of literature instead of pieces of anatomy and/or sexual positions... and maybe there are and I just don't notice therefore, it's my head in the gutter, not everyone elses.
Anyone know any other routes named after literature?
Not that it was a grandiose piece of literature, but me thinks I like the prospect of naming a route A Wrinkle in Time...

and there will be a route named "a new path to the waterfall" after one of raymond carver's last poems (before his death).
hmmm..."a wrinkle in time"...not a bad thought...

I thought it had a nice ring to it.
The arm of the starfish - another Madeleine L'Engle piece, I think...might be a little off on the title...would be a good one for the route that never ends...
Not familiar with his poems too much, always dug his short stories. Anne Beattie too, "Burning House" was one of hers - that has a certain ring to it...also a good story if you get the chance to read it. Suppose I should move this to the "What are you reading" thread.
"where are you going where have you been" is another route name suggestion - Joyce Carol Oates

You know, I've always thought a really pumpy climb (not that I climb those) should be named A Farewell to Arms.
What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.
