Happiness....
For me, its always been hard to enjoy anything that has not been a struggle, no matter how much it cost financially. Having money to spend is one thing, but earning the money you spend is something entirely different.
I have just started a long distance relationship, and the plane tickets, gas, and time spent in the car is well worth every penny. Its something to look forward to every week, and the year that it will take to have the option to live closer to each other is like the light at the end of the tunnel.rhunt wrote:WOW pawilkes, thanks for giving me some perspective. I too am in a long distance relationship and when I pay my vehilce gas bill every month it can be painful, yet its been worth every penny.pawilkes wrote:being in a long distance relationship for the last couple years has required me to spend a reasonable amount of money traveling to see her. These trips bought me happiness but a lot of the other crap that I've spent my money on hasn't. I think the guy has a point, its just easily confused.

hehe, not true at all, she is probably a better climber than I am, not that thats really saying much, so my trips to the red will be as regular as ever.pigsteak wrote:don't worry krampus..paying $200 a weekend to get laid will wear off after awhile....plus, if you are wasting your weekends seeing this person, that tells me you are no longer a climber, and should turn in your user ID on here.

yeah, only it was too hot this year so I just walked around the crag with all my quickdraws attached to my harness. Never got on anything but everybody thought I was a badass and knew about some super secret lines around the corner at left flank. It was awesome. 8)
