half moon arch
A Half Moon cleanup day would be a good idea. Legion and I hauled off enough good stuff to set up a camp when we were there last year.Tourists have really trashed the place. Its possible to do Full Moon and then walk off,its just a long way around and a little sketchy.

You can climb at Half Moon, just be prepared for the dirt and trash. Chimney Top on the other hand is closed to climbing.
You can climb at Tower Rock. There was a proposed ban, or at least they wanted climbing there limited a few years ago due to the idiot that burned all the vegitation off the top. The fence at the boulder is probabbly part of this protecting cultural areas kick the FS is on. They found something significant under that boulder and when that spot was mentioned in the bouldering guide some folks within the FS were upset. If you see anymore fences out there please post the information.
As for a clean-up day that isn't a bad idea. There are a few places you can find trashcans that have been chucked over the cliff which would make for easy pickup! There used to be one at Skybridge but that got carried off when the Miami (I think that is who it was) kids did a cleanup. I've seen a couple below Chimeny Top too.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Count me in! I was up there not to long ago and it was horrable. Beer cans, old cigs. It really ticked me off how people trash a cool place like that. grrrrrr!
