Hand-Fist Stacking
Its hard to believe, but its even more fun than it sounds.SCIN wrote:Yea, you shove your knee in, bend it, then flex your abs real tight to hold yourself in.
Awesome find SCIN, probably should bring a change of shorts for when I see the thing in person

For stacking you can often still use your arms and hands when moving off of a stack. You keep one hand or arm pressing on the side and slide it up a little while maintaining pressure. Sometimes you can reach back and get a temporary armbar and wiggle your arm further up then move it back out and reset the stack higher. There are lots of possibilities.

damn, you people are about as clear as mud. another (most common) way to move off a hand-fist stack is to cross your hand and fist so that you can lie back somewhat off the hand while moving. No, it doesn't always work given the nature of some climbs, but in most cases it will.

Ah, you got me. When you move off the stack, you are moving your feet. That means the stack ain't moving. I was talking about moving the stack itself. Feet are more or less stationary. I just couldn't believe that no one mentioned the crossing of the hand and fist (actually wrists to be specific).

Yo, you all should have seen Bart pulling into "the warden" via a ratty fist-fist stack. Followed by some hard core upside down arm barring, then a nice hand-fist stack. Then there was Lucille... I have never, ever seen any kind of climbing like that. Kinda like turning muscle shoals into a roof. She is a mean one for sure.
Come to vedauwoo, all you stacking desires can be found - hand-hand, hand-fist, fist-fist, hand-calf-hand, arm-head-arm, etc. 8)
