Sorry dude. Please don't be offended by this good natured ribbing. You are being treated like an old hand on this site (which is to say, folks are giving you good natured shit). If people are giving you a hard time, they probably like you (or at least like you till you give them cause to not like you).
No offense meant.
That said- be careful. All vets of the Red see neophytes every weekend. Coming out of the gym with 12 draws heralds an epic in the making. If you need help when you are here, ask anyone at the cliff where you are. And be careful with your belays. Sorry again if this sounds paternalistic, but anyone on here can bear witness to dropped climbers and epic-ing neophytes.

thanks for the clarification pawilkes, I must have been confused, and I should not have singled out the church groups, that was so very biased of me. Basically, wherever you go just ask some experienced climber what the best way to backclip is and I am sure they can point you in the right direction.
Seriously though, anyone at the crag will be glad to help. I would rather not have my day ruined because the guy next to me decked. Oh yeah, a helicopter ride out of the gorge cost more than $13,000
(woohoo, I hit the unimposing 500)

How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared
