Rating the Routes

Post by pigsteak »

dear admins...

intheonline guide, routes are rated with zero, one, two, or three stars.

When adding to the spray section, we are given the options of one, two, three, four or five stars.

So in the online or new paper guidebook, how would a route get zero stars? If the lowest we can giveit is a one star rating, wouldn't every route be ranked at least one star?

Likewise, how if a route has been given, say, a 4.76 rating, how does it end up with only three stars in the online guide?

Myreal question is for all those who use the ranking system....if you really hate a route, do you just not vote? On the 5 star scale, if you hand out a 3 star rating, are you saying the route is just average? so two star routes are crap, and one star are black holes?

thank you..

The 3 star system is in no way related to the user rating system. The 3 star system is from John's old book and I've just never updated it. Before I chose the 1-5 star system we had a lengthy discussion on here about rather to include 0 stars and decided not to. Where were you? Smoking crack?

so mr. guidebook author....in your NEW updated "I'm gonna make a million dollars off you chumps" edition of THE RRG classics, will the 5 star rating system be used to update Mr. Bronaugh's fine work? So a full on crap cesspool (mello yellow...cough cough) rated 1.86 stars will get absoluely no stars in the leather bound coffeee table edition? Andrew will be hurt?

Dude, the 5 star system was used in my first guidebook. Are you in a time warp? Do you need some help?

Piggy just can't understand why Waltz the Deal only got 2 stars. That thing is a 5 star Classic!

For real there are only two five star routes and they are both 5.13's.

There will be a lot less 5 star routes in this upcoming edition than in the first edition. I think the 5 stars got out of hand in the first edition.
