Heck yea! I've already claimed equipping that route in my head and it would such a huge honor. Ahhhhh....Iniquity.....

As several can contest, I believe the more appropriate quote of me on that route would be, "F*** ME!".

isn't the most compelling question to come out of this
DID ASHTRAY GET A NEW DOG? (referencing picture on page 5 or 6).

yawn...thanks Buster, Ashtray for stirring the pot. i only wish we'd pick on someone else for a change. why don't we all get really bitchy and start taking it out on those damn selfish bastards that bought roadside but then never put in a ski lift or a starbucks. lame.

didn't johnny chip a hold on that super nasty slab at the oil crack????? wasn't there a big pissing match about it and a discussion of the ethics or lack thereof? hell, there are entire cliffs in france that are chipped -- i'm not advocating for chipping, i'm just saying the issue is pretty old hat and the consensus is pretty well agreed upon...

thanks for the memories. sorry we won't see you at muir buster, ashtray, and pru. you're my favorite kind of old and crusty.

Now that you mention it, I am pretty pissed that there isn't a starbucks or a ski lift at roadside.

Pete, your new rank suits you very well. :D

And Piggy, I have too climbed in the last year, just recently (if you can call it climbing). I also put up a route in the last year, wanker.

I probably haven't been to Muir in 2 or more years come to think of it. I suppose if I could climb worth a damn, I'd be bumming about not being able to climb at Midnight Surf. I really hate missing out on an opportunity to knock your bolting.

For the record, Rick did NOT ban Pru from Muir Valley. In the course of PMs, she said that she chose not to climb at Muir. Rick gratefully accepted her decision and agreed to mark our Waiver Log accordingly. When she then informed him that she intended to recind her decision and instead, may come often, he declined to reactivate her waiver. Her choice. We are not unhappy about it.

oh please, Liz. Rick said he was going to note on my waiver that I have chosen not to climb at Muir because I said "And just so you know, I have no wish to see Muir Valley closed to climbing even though I choose not to climb there." I specifically asked him if he was banning me because even though I haven't climbed there, that didn't mean I wouldn't choose to do so in the future. He kept saying the same thing back, evading direct questions, that it was noted on my waiver. I finally said that I would be there this weekend, then he told me that my wavier was invalid or some crap and that if I showed up I would be treated as a trespasser. Give me a fucking break. Would you like to see the PMs Liz? I'm sure Rick will show you if you don't believe me.

For the record, I realize that it's Rick's right to ban whoever he pleases and for whatever reasons he wants, petty or not, but don't try and call this something it is not. At least when I'm an ass, I don't try to pretend that I am not.

Yes Liz saw the PMs. They were the basis for her post.

Do I have your permission to post my last PM to you? That will clear this up once and for all.
