Shannon Moving On

Post by captain static »

Shannon has resigned from the RRGCC Board of Directors to focus on social justice work: http://www.rrgcc.org/announcement_detail.php?ann=26 We wish her success in her continuing endeavors to make the world a better place. It's scary to think how access to climbing in the Red might have looked without her. There probably would have been more Forest Service closures and I don't know if the Murray purchase would have happenned. We owe a lot to you Shannon. Thanks for all that you have done.

All the best.

thanks for all the work you've done in the Red, both for access and for route /area development. A lot of people wait around for things to get better, sure glad you aren't one of those.

The RRGCC was all Shannon's doing. Her vision, her motivation, her force of will, her work ethic.... if not for her efforts we would still be a bunch of cats scattered here and there with probably no climbing on the FS land and undoubtedly no Murray Property.
Thanks Shannon, you leave the community in good stead, able to stand on its own. congrats.
Also, Shannon has become a major mover and shaker in several Non profits dealing with Justice and Fairness in Central Kentucky. I bet her best is yet to come.
Keep in touch.

Thanks for your hard work, Shannon. It sounds like you've got a good thing going with the social justice work. That sector is lucky to have you now.
